About 6 months ago i fancied drawing something while flicking through my Hellboy art book, i came across an image i really liked. To practice my drawing and sketching skills i re-drew it larger and by hand. I just found these photos i took of my drawing photographed through stages, so i thought i'd post them up here. Enjoy!

Post Thought Bubble

Completely forgot to do a post last week. Here's a snap of my comic haul and the roof of the corn exchange. It was a great weekend in Leeds. Need to get a few of my bits up in the shop soon.

Thought Bubble

So its nearly the weekend, which means its nearly time for Thought Bubble Convention!! Ive got some new prints, posters and badges available this year. As well as a re-stocking of Walters and Eddies and other bits. Me and Nikki Stu will be on table 71. Come say hey!

It's nearly Christmas!!

Ok not quite yet but i'm actually ridiculously excited for Christmas this year. So I thought i'd make Eddie feel a bit more christmassy by making him a reindeer! I'll have a few of these available from my table at Thought Bubble in a couple of weeks.

Wolfgang

This is Wolfgang, he's a character due to appear in the comic me and josh are slowly doing. I had a few rough initial sketches of him lying around so decided to vector him!

Sneaky preview

Me and Josh have been slowly working on our comic. Ive drawn a couple of rough panels, working out and testing everything. Here's a shot of what I've been working on. Still in the early stages though. I hope we can get this done and printed for Bristol next year!

I've been sketching a lot recently to hopefully start work on my and josh's comic. I randomly drew a girl drinking tea and turned it into a self portrait vector.

2 weeks ago we got a kitten!! She's so cute!! This is Ziggy.

I went and saw the new Batman film the other day (which was rather good) so i did a quick lunchtime vector of him!

Bristol Expo

So Bristol comic expo is already over for another year. Was a brilliant weekend! Table sharing with the amazingly talented Nikki Stu, Nanniebim and Will Kirkby. We were sat opposite the very entertaining and lovely chaps that are the Etherington brothers. Those guys are brilliant. Lorenzo had his new sketchbook issue 6 out, limited to just 25 copies, which i managed to nab one of. As usual he sketches inside for you, this was mine!!

We all went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner and then onto a cider bar, where we bumped into Warwick and Robin Etherington and had a great evening. Through out the weekend i met up with some awesome people including Adam Millard (writer of dark zombie stories, can't wait to read some!) Nich Angell (fantastic artwork), Jon Lock (writer of afterlife inc, which looks brilliant, can't wait to read), and finally met Jason Prosser (we met about 2 years ago on deviant art and i can't wait for his game to be up and running!)

This is the haul i brought back with me, lots of goodies! Sketches by the guys from the Aardman stand, a print from Warwick's stand, the amazing Herald Owlett Vol 1 version 2.0 by Nikki Stu, theres some new coloured pages in there so couldn't help but get again! Birdsong (been after that for a while), El sketchbook Lorenzo 6, couple of really cute prints and Thicker than blood signed by Mike Ploog and Simon Bisley!!!

Bristol comic con

Bristol comic con is coming up shortly! Thought i'd post up a couple of sneaks of what i'll be bringing along with me. As usual i'll have posters, bee books and some walters!! Along with a set of A5 water colour paintings. There will be 5 of each design available. (There's still one more to finish!) I'll be table sharing with the lovely Will, Lou and Nikki.
